Split by a state line, united by water.

Texarkana is a city built on connection— connection between Texas and Arkansas, two thriving communities, and two proud ways of life. Sitting squarely on the state line, it’s known as the ultimate border city, where crossroads fuel culture, commerce, and pride. And through it all, water keeps the energy flowing.

Water keeps Texarkana running - it powers local manufacturing, nourishes a thriving creative scene, and quenches the fields where young athletes play ball each summer. Whether you’re casting a line at Wright Patman Lake, cooling off at Spring Lake Park, or walking the line on State Line Avenue, water is the silent MVP behind it all.

As the region grows and water challenges loom across the state, we’re proud to celebrate the role of water through public art. We recently teamed up with the City of Texarkana, the Texarkana Arts & Historic District, and the Texas Lyceum to bring this message to life through public art. Texarkana native and acclaimed artist Will Bryant returned home to paint a mural where he grew up playing ball, at the Swanger Baseball Complex. It’s a vibrant reminder that from hydration to irrigation, water fuels every game and every day.
